Coop #12

Garden of interestOf interest to children

Nestled alongside garden paths, woodland hideaways and a creek, this bright red coop boasts a pergola design and a cedar shake roof. With a tree inside for perching, this predator proof paradise is not to be missed. There is a new larger garden located near the coop, featuring large heirloom tomato plants grown from last year's seeds.

Newly added is a "day run" featuring a pulley system door which allows the hens access to the small winding run and up to a raised bamboo framed compartment for leaves, kitchen scraps, etc. and the compost falls thru a screen for instant "fertilizer." Additional stone steps now lead to the creek and new split rail fence sets off the coop and larger garden area.
